Reshaping the TOURism Industry

The project aims to upskill the tourism workforce, embracing digital competences and raise environmental consciousness in the Tourism sector.

We, 13 partners from 6 different countries, are co-funded by the European Union EACEA Erasmus+ Programme. In this context we present a multi-faceted strategy to respond swiftly to evolving skills demands; to contribute to the Pact for Skills Knowledge Hub; and to foster VET-industry partnerships and not at the least raise awareness of digital and green transitions in tourism

So what does this mean on national and regional level. It is an opportune moment after the COVID period to rethink and reshape the Tourism industry. Therefore, we seize the opportunity to improve the attractiveness of tourism. We also look at strengthening the skills needed for the value chain of Tour & Destination Operators. We build an industrial ecosystem with a particular focus on micro-SMEs. Furthermore, we look to minimize the negative impact of tourism on our daily environment and become more adaptability to unpredictable crisis.

Our expected results aim to serve the future learners in the industry. We created a website, new training programs, envisage to train 150 learners and build a network of at least 30 companies across borders.

Learningdigital is developing with the partners the website and learning journey as well the digital training hub for micro-credentials in the industry.
